You will be able to apply for properties through Durham Key Options if you are on the housing register. For details on how to apply to join the housing register click Who Can Use the Service. When you are accepted on the housing register we will write and tell you:
You must tell us if there are any changes in your circumstances so we can re assess your application. Each year you will be sent a short application form in the post, you must complete and return this to us to remain on the housing register.
You will only be eligible for properties that are suitable for the size of your family. You will not be shortlisted for properties which do not meet your family size even if you have placed a bid for this property so please do not place a bid. The following table tells you how we normally decide on the number of bedrooms that you are eligible for. For cases where this table might not apply please contact a partner landlord:
