The Council want to ensure that private rented properties in County Durham offer residents a choice of safe and well managed accommodation.
The existing Selective Licensing Scheme, which supports this goal, started in April 2022 and ends on 31 March 2027. The Council is proposing to introduce a new scheme when the current scheme expires.
