During these unprecedented times we have continued to follow Government advice around what we can and can’t undertake as part of lockdown measures implemented across the UK.
On 26th March, we updated all of our active customers with information relating to the lockdown, and the possibility of a reduced service across all of the housing providers linked to Durham Key Options.
As you will be aware, new measures were announced on Sunday 10th May around easing the lockdown restrictions that were put in place in March. With that, the Government gave the green light for people to return to work, where it wasn’t possible for them to work from home, if they implemented social distancing rules.
We hope to see an increase in the number of properties advertised on the DKO website over the coming weeks. As services resume you may still experience an increase in some waiting times if you are offered a home and you may be asked to follow specific social distancing measures designed to protect you during these times.
Before applying for a property we would ask that you have considered your own circumstances and that you are able to move home at this time.
As always, if guidance changes, we will amend our working practises in line with them. Please contact your local housing provider for more information - contact us page.
